EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM
The Extended Day Program (EDP) is available to all students (JK-8) enrolled in our day school. We provide this service to help working parents who want a quality program for their child(ren) either before school, after school, or both.
This is an optional program, which requires an extra fee to cover the expenses. Contract EDP is paid over 10 months along with the tuition payment. Occasional Use Cards can be purchased in the school office. Please click Tuition and Fees for the current EDP rates.
EDP hours are from 6:30 am to 8:00 am and again from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. The extended day program closes promptly at 6:30 pm.
Morning EDP children spend time playing board games, reading, studying, and playing outdoors. The afternoon program begins at 3:00 pm with supervised study halls arranged by grade. Children are then allowed free-play outdoors. Other activities include art and craft projects, organized team games (both indoor and outdoor), board games, and special projects. A nutritional snack is served each afternoon. At 5:45 pm the children are escorted to our Preschool where the two extended day programs are combined.
The Extended Day Program has a security system to insure that only the parent, or an adult authorized by the parent, is allowed to pick up a child. Each family is assigned a security number that is to be written down each evening as the child is signed out of the program. This system is for the safety of the children in our care.
